Background
With the recent surfacing of new e-commerce platforms, it has become easier than ever for would be creatives to start their own enterprises. Estimated to be worth $1.5 trillion*, the global apparel market has seen a major uptick in the number and variety of players on the market.
Consequently, not only have businesses needed to have more niche offerings, they have also needed to find more creative and identifiable means to cut through the noise.
Design Finalisation & Brand Prototyping
After finalising logo designs for the mark and type, I began experimenting with the colour palette. Teal was a colour which, while uncommon, evokes class and life.
Purple and Orange were then selected as means of making the palette bright and lively, as well as serving as a nod to inclusivity.
In addition, the logo takes three distinct forms:-
- ▪ Seal (logomark in the centre)
- ▪ Logotype (stepped to give it a derivative form)
- ▪ Combination Logo
Final Thoughts & Take-aways
This project allowed me to deepen my knowledge of branding in an industry that is ever-changing. Producing work which allows this enterprise to be distinct in that competitive environment is of greater importance in such a context. However, that is something that creativity and an understanding of clients can overcome.
